Rooted in street and documentary film making, Samuel’s observational tone has developed into a thoughtful image led approach, and a love for 16mm film, subtle humour, and 90’s cinema. Among his influences he cites the work of Slim Arrons, Martin Parr, Robert Frank and Tarantino, which is evident in his more recent work for Vogue Italia, Lacoste, Camper, YSL and Bergdofs, and earlier work for Adidas, Nike, Puma, BAPE and Vans. His ‘it's never felt like a job’ attitude always comes across in the best way, especially when collaborating with like minded creatives.
