London-based DOP Dom Lake, began his journey shooting skate videos in his teens. Having now refined his style, he still draws from those early days, focusing on crafting an organic, visual language, with the brief in mind. Big influences for Dom are Nicolas Winding Refn's Pusher films, along with Michel Gondry's early works, they feel visceral, raw and dreamlike. Dom is also heavily influenced by the work of photographers such as Nan Golding, Gregory Crewsdon and Ansel Adams. He sees cinematography as “A unique way of crafting worlds and creating spaces for people to get immersed in. Composing a frame, crafting light on a blank canvas and working with like-minded collaborators is incredibly rewarding. When everything falls into place on set and rhythm is flowing, there's no better feeling.” His recent clients include North Face, Salomon, Charlotte Tilbury, Reebok, Yard Sale.
